Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. ASUU strike: FG pleads with lecturers, promises to pay new minimum wage

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has pleaded with striking university teachers to show mercy on students by calling off their strike. The teachers, under the auspices of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), began a nationwide strike since November, last year, over some disagreement between the union and the Federal Government. Ngige, speaking with reporters in Awka, Anambra State on Sunday, also declared that Federal Government would pay a minimum wage, adding that things were being worked out by the Committee saddled with that responsibility. In business, the role luck plays in success and personal achievement is rarely discussed. If luck is mentioned, it is done with slight condescension, and usually dismissed as a product of hard work, not deserving significant attention. While hard work is paramount— and I have written extensively about the importance of working hard— history and my own experiences show that there is often a large element of success that hard work alone cannot explain.
