Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. The Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, on Friday reacted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s appointment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s supposed niece, Amina Zakari as its head of collation center for the 2019 election. Speaking with DAILY POST, spokesperson of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin said the appointment of Zakari would have been the greatest tragedy of all time but for INEC’s explanation of her involvement in the centre. Odumakin, who alleged that Zakari’s name had become synonymous with election manipulation, said she should have resigned from the commission, following several rigging claims against her. He also disclosed that the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai nominated Zakari into INEC during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
