Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. Buhari Vs Atiku: Oshiomhole ‘reveals who INEC is working for ahead of elections’

Ahead of the general elections, the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of working with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Oshiomhole said the electoral umpire was unfair to the ruling party. The APC Chairman alleged that the electoral body believe everything that PDP says, adding that two Resident Electoral Commissioners are “campaigning line by line” with the PDP in the South South. Speaking with The Nation, the former Edo State governor, however, assured that INEC will not be brought down because the APC believes that state institutions should be allowed to perform their functions. Tinubu, Oshiomhole missing as Buhari takes presidential campaign to Abuja

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, were notably missing, as President Muhammadu Buhari took his presidential campaign to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. There is no official reason for their absence, Channels Television reports. The rally which took place at the Eagles Square, saw the FCT Minister, Mohammed Bello and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, in attendance. Others in attendance included the APC Women Leader, (Hajia) Salamatu Umar-Eluma and the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, among others. All campaign rallies are expected to end is 24 hours to the presidential elections.

The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday told the party’s supporters that the end of the Senate President Bukola Saraki’s dynasty in Kwara politics had come. He said this in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, during President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign rally. “For Bukola, it is finished. I cannot wait till Saturday for Kwara people to celebrate their new-found freedom,” Oshiomhole said. Meanwhile, President Buhari said all recovered loot will be reinvested in infrastructure. Buhari also promised that if re-elected, his administration would continue to bring those who abused trust before the law. “We are going to continue to take those who abused trust before the law; collect what they have stolen and reinvest them in infrastructure,” he said.

Buhari stoned at APC rally in Ogun President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress national party chairman were on Monday attacked at the party's rally held in Abeokuta. The President was stoned with materials suspected to be shoes and stones. As a result of the violence, activities at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, was paused for some minutes. President Buhari was shielded by his security agents who blocked his front to avoid being hit by the objects being thrown at him and other party members. The development angered the leaders of the party, including former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, who left the podium while the President was making his remarks. What Oshiomhole Told APC Executives In ‘Secret Meeting’ Ahead Of Elections

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole yesterday warned state chairmen, secretaries and governorship candidates of the party against complacency in the coming elections. He said the party must win in a free and fair manner. Oshiomhole spoke at a crucial meeting with state critical stakeholders ahead of the presidential election scheduled for the weekend. The meeting, which started at about 8.30pm also have in attendance, party’s governorship candidates with the exemption of siting governors who are seeking re-election. The Nation gathered that the state chairmen, secretaries and governorship candidates were briefed on preparation for the elections and what is expected them. The chairmen and the candidates reportedly briefed the NWC on their preparation for the election and the challenges. The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole, National Leader Bola Tinubu, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi have graced the President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign in Lagos. He arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos on Saturday morning. The President alongside the  Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo,  was received by the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Minister of Labour and Employment Chris Ngige and other officials of the party. Upon his arrival, he met with some business owners in the state under the auspices of Organised Private Sector (OPS) at the Lagos Marina House.
