Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. According to a report by SaharaReporters, Whoknowstomorrow Bright, aged 27, has been killed by some military personnel in Biogbolo area of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, over stolen phone. This situation has led to outrage and protest, as indigenes took to major roads in protest in of what they term the extra-judicial killing of their kinsman. SaharaReporters reports that the soldiers went on reprisal mission after their colleague was robbed at gunpoint and his mobile phone stolen. A resident of the area, who simply identified himself as Frank, said the youth were sitting in the area when the soldiers suddenly invaded, and without questions shot sporadically, killing one and leaving several others injured. The victim who was shot dead Indigenes of Bayelsa yesterday, took to a major road to protest the extra-judicial murder of a 27 year-old-man, who was allegedly shot dead by soldiers, at about 10am on Wednesday, at Biogbolo community. This happened barely 48 hours after the Nigerian Army had vowed to carry out the controversial order of President Muhammadu Buhari on ballot box snatchers. The indigenes who barricaded some parts of Biogbolo road, at the Mbiama-Yenagoa expressway, said they were bereaved by the death of their youth, who was unjustly killed by soldiers around the Barath road. The 16 Brigade of the Nigerian Army on Friday commenced `Operation Crocodile Smile III’ exercise across some states of the Niger Delta, to stem the tide of pipeline vandalism in the region.
