MC Oluomo was invited by the National Association of Geography Students, UNILAG chapter to give a speech at their function today September 19th but the invitation was greeted with widespread criticism. A CALL FOR SUSPENSION OF THE SUG PRESIDENT OF EDE POLY BY ASUP EDE, A JOKE TAKEN TOO FAR- NAPS

Image
The Constant call for the suspension of SUG President of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede Rufai Lukman Opeyemi SIWES by the ASUP of the Polytechnic is laughable. The President averted a potential crisis that would have befallen the Polytechnic when a Lecturer's vehicle parked in front of the SUG Office caused an accident which led to two students sustaining injuries. These sparked the anger of students who wanted to burn down the vehicle, but the SUG President decided to deflate the tyres as an alternative to calm the angry students down. The lecturer felt offended and reported to ASUP, the matter was referred to students deciplinary committee and the committee gave recommendation to the management which gave birth to the letter attached in the pictures below. The President was warned and this didn't go down well with ASUP. We want to set the record straight that SUG and ASUP of an Institution are suppose to be sister Unions who are to work hand in hand towards a better le...

FPE CRISIS: ALAKIISA TO N JO LORU BO PE BOYA ILE A MO BA

Image
I have read the purported press statement of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Ede chapter to back up their proposed protest and denied thousands of students freedom to write their exams on Monday because the ASUP chairman wants to punish the SUG President. Why? The SUG President deflated the tyres of a car owned by a lecturer because he parked at the roadside in front of the SUG building where there are two signposts of "No parking" because the road is curve and prone to accidents. Many students have fallen victims of road accident because moving cars find it difficult to turn easily whenever a car is parked. The owner of the car happens to be a lecturer and a member of the Academic Staffs Union of Polytechnics, Ede chapter. The ASUP chairman was angry when he heard of the incident, drove his car to the spot of the car whose tyres were deflated and threatened the SUG President and his executives that they should deflate the tyres of his car and see what would happ...

It's no more a hearsay that lecturers of The Federal Polytechnic Ede enjoys intimidating, oppressing, and abusing our dear Nigerian Students without having a fear of their atrocity penalty because they thinks management can't catch up with them and never scared of the student's nemesis. Now it's time we Nigerian Students whom they thought of being a weak and defenseless victim to come together as one and put stop to all these abuses. ASUP FPE delaying our examinations for their own selfish interests without having a pitying face on the Nigerian Students because one of their staff was cautioned and corrected to avoid the endangerment of our students lives.
