Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment.   File photo The Lagos state government has restricted movement on 18 major roads across the state in preparations for the presidential rally of President Muhammadu Buhari, TheCable reports. The campaign would hold at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Surulere on Saturday, February 9. Speaking at a press conference in Ikeja, Demola Seraki, a former minister of state for defence and chairman, transport committee on Buhari’s campaign visit to the state, said over 100,000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were expected at the rally. He said movement would be diverted on the roads to prevent motorists and commuters from being stranded. Seriki, who advised motorists to stay away from the venue of the rally, said the traffic advisory was issued to ease movement. “For instance, Alaka (by Lanre Shittu Motors) on the service lane, inwards stadium will be closed to traffic, while vehicles will be diverted to the stadium bridge on the main carriage way,”  he sa...
