Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. LIVE: INEC Officially Opens Collation Centre For Presidential Election

Nigerians would have to wait another day to receive official results of the presidential elections as the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has adjourned the collation of the results until 11am on Monday, February 25, 2019. During the formal opening of the collation centre in the nation’s capital, Abuja, INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu said he was adjourning the exercise because no state collation officer had arrived in Abuja with the results of the presidential elections. Agents from the various political parties, election observers and journalists are present at the collation center to learn the results of the presidential election. Earlier, Professor Yakubu had told journalists that Ekiti State had concluded the collation process and the officer was on his way to Abuja with the results of the presidential election from the state.

INEC Top Official Threatens To Cancel Rescheduled Presidential Election

  The Delta State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Dr Cyril Omoregbe, vowed that he will not hesitate to cancel the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly polls on Saturday should the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, headquarters delay to send all electoral materials to the state. This may not be unconnected to the fact that prior to last weekend’s postponement, Omoregbe said the commission did not deploy election materials to the field owing to non-receipt of some sensitive electoral materials. He warned during a media chat in Asaba, saying  “if all of the electoral materials which have not been supplied but which we have notified INEC Abuja has not arrived by Friday 2.00 p.m. I will not hesitate to cancel the election. I will not wait till 2.00 a.m. to cancel the poll. Some of the discrepancies we spotted in the materials include those of other states wrongly sent to Delta and vice versa. How Nnamdi Kanu Made INEC Postpone Presidential Election - IPOB

IPOB The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has disclosed how its leader, Nnamdi Kanu instigated the postponement of Presidential and governorship elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, a report by Dailypost has revealed.. IPOB in a statement by its publicity secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful claimed the postponement of the presidential election by INEC was as a result of Nnamdi Kanu’s decision to call off boycott of election. Why Was The Presidential Election Postponed?

Shocking news came up at the early hours of this morning that the Independent National Electoral commission, INEC has decided to postpone the general election that was suppose to hold today the 16 th  of February to a week time, 23 rd  of February after so many deliberations. According to  Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC chairman, the postponement is due to as a result of some flaws in logistics. This announcement was made just few minutes before 3am.
