Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. ASUU strike: FG pleads with lecturers, promises to pay new minimum wage

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has pleaded with striking university teachers to show mercy on students by calling off their strike. The teachers, under the auspices of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), began a nationwide strike since November, last year, over some disagreement between the union and the Federal Government. Ngige, speaking with reporters in Awka, Anambra State on Sunday, also declared that Federal Government would pay a minimum wage, adding that things were being worked out by the Committee saddled with that responsibility. TV woman, Ngosi Nwosu has explained why marriages are crashing so often in recent times, and she fingers the parents of couples.   Ngozi Nwosu Nollywood veteran Ngozi Nwosu has made it known that parents are the reason there are so many failed marriages today. According to the actress, when parents put pressure on their kids, they may cause the child to choose the wrong partner. “No Parent should put pressure on their kids to marry, it is better to be late than to marry early and choose wrong. That was part of what happened to me, I was under pressure to marry and things eventually didn’t turn out right.” Nwosu continued saying;  “When you rush to do things because you are ageing or because your mates are doing it, it might be your doom so just live your life and wait till it is the right time. I am waiting on God’s time before I get married again, to avoid making another mistake”
