Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. AC Milan has been Banned by UEFA from European Football for next season( 2019/2020) after breaching the Financial Fair Play rule. European football’s governing body UEFA had accused the club of violating financial fair play (FFP) regulations over the past three seasons and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Friday ruled in their favour. “AC Milan is excluded from participating in UEFA club competitions of the sporting season 2019/2020 as a consequence of the breach of its FFP break-even obligations” for the past three seasons, the court ruled. UEFA initially found the Italian giants, who had qualified for the Europa League next season, guilty in June last year of violating financial rules which broadly limit club expenditure to club income in any given year. However, CAS referred the matter back to UEFA judging that an European ban was disproportionate. A lot of hype had gone into the match knowing that a win for Ronaldo, could increase his chances of another Ballon D’or title, while a win for Netherlands, could aid Liverpool defender, Virgil Van Dijk, in his quest for a maiden Ballon D’or award. Sergio Ramos breaks record for most international wins as he helps Spain beat Faroe Islands Sergio Ramos now holds the record for the most wins in international football after helping Spain thrash Faroe Islands 4-1.  The Real Madrid defender opened the scoring as Spain secured a comfortable victory in the Euro 2020 qualifier. As reported by Sportbible, Ramos has now won 122 international games, which surpassed his former Spain team-mate Iker Casillas, who broke the record seven years ago. Ramos has been capped by Spain on 164 occasions, having made his international debut against China in 2005. Now aged 33, Ramos requires just three more appearances to equal Casillas' record for being Spain's most capped player of all time. Spain are currently top of their qualifiying group, two points ahead of their closest challengers Sweden.

Tottenham have made a £53million bid offer to Real Betis for Giovani Lo Celso but the Spanish side are insisting they won't sell for less than his £88million release clause. Sportsmail reported in March that Lo Celso was a player of interest to Tottenham after a stand-out season on loan from PSG. However, his performances have alerted other elite clubs around Europe and that has allowed Betis to stand firm on their valuation in the belief that a suitor will meet the clause. They took up the option to make Lo Celso's move permanent for £19.8million last month and will sell him at a substantial profit. He scored 16 goals and made six assists in 45 games for Betis last season and has been named in Argentina's squad for the Copa America, which starts on June 14 in Brazil. Lo Celso is a creative midfielder and Tottenham are keen to strengthen their options there as they look to rebuild that department this summer.

But the Argentine has now revealed that Solskjaer wants him to stay at Old Trafford for another season.    FIFA abandoned their plan of expanding Qatar 2022 World cup to 48 teams The president of the World governing soccer body FIFA, Gianni Infantino said last year that the expansion from 32 teams could be brought forward from 2026 to the 2022 tournament in Qatar This change could have made the Host (Qatar) to share hosting duties among other countries in the territory. FIFA said after a “thorough and comprehensive consultation process” the change “could not be made possible now”. FIFA president Infantino has been a strong promoter towards the expansion and he said that the World Cup has been "more comprehensive" Fifa also said it explored the possibility of Qatar hosting a 48-team tournament on its own but has decided not to pursue those plans as there was not enough time “for a detailed assessment of the potential logistical impact”.
