Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. EPL: Chelsea finally reveals manager that’ll replace Maurizio Sarri

Former Premier League champions, Chelsea have finally revealed the manager that will replace current boss, Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge. Sarri, who joined Chelsea last summer, has been under intense pressure at Stamford Bridge due to the club’s recent poor performance. The Telegraph reports that the Blues has identified England assistant ‘manager’, Steve Holland as the coach that will eventually take over from Sarri until the end of the season if he is sacked. The report claimed that Chelsea board are ready to will send an ‘SOS’ to Holland to try and salvage the remainder of their season. Holland worked as part of the coaching team under Andre Villas-Boas, Roberto Di Matteo, Rafael Benitez, Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink, during his time at Chelsea. Chelsea will tackle Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

EPL: Manchester United ready to make De Gea highest paid player

Manchester United are ready to make David de Gea the best paid player in the Premier League, The Sunday Times reports. The Old Trafford outfit will table an offer with a basic pay package of £90m over five years. The deal will see De Gea’s wages overtake that of team-mates, Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez, as well as Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil. United executive chairman, Ed Woodward, has made sorting De Gea’s future top priority, as he works to tie down deals for a number of United’s first-team squad. The Spaniard’s deal runs until the end of the 2019/2020 season. De Gea, who has spent eight years at the club, has been named United’s player of the year in four of the last five seasons.

EPL: Man United identify £87m striker as Lukaku’s replacement

Manchester United have identified Inter Milan star, Mauro Icardi as the replacement for striker, Romelu Lukaku at the club. Express UK reports that Manchester United are already in talks with Inter Milan over the possibility to sign Icardi at the end of the season. The report claimed that the Red Devils are prepared to include Lukaku as part of their offer and the striker is “aware of the situation”. The report also claimed that the Serie A giants are not happy with Icardi’s behavior and are willing to cash in on the player during the summer transfer window. Icardi is available to sign for £87million due to a release clause in his current contract with the Serie A giants. The Argentine international was stripped of the captaincy few days ago.

Former Manchester United star, Gary Neville has said that he will not be surprised if Chelsea decide to sack manager, Maurizio Sarri. Chelsea suffered their worst ever defeat since the start of the Premier League season in the hands of Manchester City on Sunday, with Pep Guardiola’s side cruising to a 6-0 win. Sarri is currently in his first season in charge of the Blues, but the club have a history of quick dismissals having had 11 different managers in the last 10 years. EPL: Solskjaer reveals risk he took in Man Utd’s 3-0 win over Fulham

Manchester United interim manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has admitted his team selection against Fulham was “a risk”, after making six changes for Saturday’s 3-0 win at Craven Cottage. Solskjaer rotated his squad ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s visit to Old Trafford on Tuesday. However, Paul Pogba’s brace and a fine solo goal from Anthony Martial helped United clim into the top four. “There is always an element of risk but if you don’t risk you don’t win. “I have to trust the players, I didn’t feel there was a problem playing any of them. They put us under pressure in the first 10 minutes but after we scored I thought we were excellent. “The most pleasing thing was in the second half, the way we controlled it. We could have had four or five goals, it was different to what we did against Leicester so another step in the right direction,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.

AC Milan defender, Alessio Romagnoli has identified Chelsea striker, Gonzalo Higuain as the “best striker” in the world currently. Romagnoli, a former teammate with Higuain at Milan, stated this ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Manchester City on Sunday. Higuain, who joined Chelsea on loan from Juventus last month, scored a brace in Chelsea’s 5-0 victory over Huddersfield Town last weekend. “I still think he [Higuain] is the best striker in the world,” Romagnoli was quoted by Calciomercato as saying. “I am sorry he decided to leave AC Milan but we respect his decision. He is a friend of mine and if he is happy I am ok with it. “Now we have other players that won’t make us regret his departure. “We enjoy having him here and we hope he can keep scoring at least one goal per game. “Piatek’s impressed me with his desire and hunger. Former Barcelona star, Patrick Kluivert, has stated that Premier League stars, Rashford and Aubameyang can replace Suarez at the Camp Nou. Suarez has scored 168 goals in 227 appearances for Barca making him one of the most creative goalscorers in Europe over the past decade. Although the Uruguayan is still lethal in front of goal, Barca are said to be scouring the market for his potential replacement. However, Kluivert believes Manchester United forward, Rashford and Arsenal star, Aubameyang are both capable of taking the task at the Nou Camp. “I like Marcus Rashford, a lot. It will be really difficult to get him over [to Barcelona],” Kluivert told Sport360. “But he is a good player. I don’t see a lot of players who can play in Barcelona. [Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang, perhaps he can play. “There is not a lot. Maybe some players who can play in La Liga, young players. “But, for me, I think the best one is Marcus Rashford.”
