Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. Abuja – The National Leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has rejected the alleged anti-poor and anti-masses recruitment requirements of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corp[oration (NNPC). NANS members protest at NASS Mr Adeyemi Azeez, NANS National Public Relations Officer (PRO) made the position of the students’ body known in a statment on Sunday in Abuja. Nigeria decides 2019: NANS decries politics of bloodshed, warns politicians

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), on Sunday, appealed to politicians to desist from politics of bloodshed to enhance growth and inclusiveness of the democratic process. NANS’ National Public Relations Officer (PRO), Comrade Bestman Okereafor, made the appeal in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu. DAILY POST recalls that  two persons were allegedly killed as 13 vehicles were damaged in pre-election violence  that erupted in Obot-Akara Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom on Friday, Feb. 15. Also, the Kaduna State Government had in a statement on Friday evening, confirmed that 66 persons were killed by unidentified gunmen in Kajuru local government of the state. ASUU resumption: NANS wants INEC to further extend PVC collection

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on Saturday appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to further extend the Feb. 11 deadline for collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVC). INEC PVCs Mr Azeez Adeyemi, the National Public Relations Officer of the association, made the appeal in a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta. He said that the extension became necessary considering the fact that most of the students who would be returning to school registered for their PVCs within the school environments. “NANS sees this call as imperative due to the just-suspended strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). “Most Nigerian university students will be returning to the school environs where they registered for their PVCs to pick them up. “We recall that INEC had revealed in its statistics of the eligible voters, ahead of the 2019 general elections, that over 22 million voters are Nigerian students. “As such, this...

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) convention which was supposed to be conducted today as slated in the election time table has been automatically shifted as zone B pull out of the accreditation process. Information reaching the campus reporter media is that the leadership of NANS Zone B have pulled out of the accreditation process which was supposed to be done today. The coordinator of the Zone Comr Okereke Godson C Bishop (CNS) while addressing the press said, "I made it clear lately yesterday and early today that accreditation of delegates will commence properly today Sunday 8th of July, but it's annoying that up to 8pm the electoral committee have not kick started with the process. The duties and objectives of NANS is to protect and project the legimate right of the students, not the other way round, I cannot risk it in jeopardizing the life of the students I represent.
