A man named Fidel Lopez has been arrested after admitting to raping a dog and leaving it with internal injuries so severe it had to be put to death humanely. Fidel, 51, grew frustrated that his fiancée wasn’t responding to his calls and texts and allegedly raped the dog as he lay in bed. The girlfriend who later brought the dog to nearby animal DoveLewis Emergency Hospital where vets took the decision to put the animal down. After the arrest of Lopez, it was gathered that he admitted to the crime and also told the police that he’d been drinking alcohol at the time of the alleged incident and committed the assault “out of anger.” According to reports, Lopez fiancee told nurses that her partner displayed some “potential bestiality tendencies.” and he once bragged about watching another person sexually assault a dog and would occasionally show his genitals to them, she claimed. Rat punishment A man punished a rat for chewing his phone charger. In a video that went viral, a man from India strung up a rat to a plastic water bottle, exposing his belly out for the beatings he administered on it. The man kept on beating the rat on the head and belly, while asking it why he chewed his cord. The man also showed the severed chord of his charger to the mouse, and said;  “Why did you bite this causing me a loss of eighty rupees (one pound). Will your father or mother pay me for the loss now?” Indian animal rights activists are outraged after the video emerged earlier this month and have urged officials to trace the man and arrest him for cruelty towards animals. Noted animal rights activist Subhendu Mallik said:  ‘While killing a mouse is not illegal, this kind of torture is unwarranted.’This is a crime under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960 and officials should act.’

The Aboki was beaten by the mob An angry mob has descended heavily on a man after he was allegedly caught with used pampers, sanitary pads and panties among other items earlier today in Edo state. The Hausa man otherwise known as Aboki was nabbed with the items which are alleged to be used for ritual purpose. He was caught at Enwan area in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State. Facebook user Phattylee John shared pictures of the suspect and wrote: "This aboki was caught with used pampers, pants and pads etc 5min ago in enwan villa… Every 1 be careful. An Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday jailed 27-year-old Lekan Famuyiwa seven years for stealing a welding machine valued at N70,000. Arrested and handcuffed The Magistrate, Aliu Soneye, in his judgment, said that the sentence was without an option of fine. Soneye said that the convict had become notorious for stealing. He said that the convict had earlier been arraigned on many occasions for stealing. The accused, of no fixed address, was tried for burglary and stealing, to which he pleaded guilty. Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp. Matthew Famuyiwa, told the court that the convict committed the offences on Jan. 4 at 4.00p.m in Agbaakin Oosa Village, Abeokuta. Famuyiwa said that the convict broke into Mr Olatunji Tobi’s shop and stole a welding machine valued at N70, 000.
