Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. PHOTO: NAN The Minister of State for  Labour  and Employment, Dr Festus Keyamo, stated this when the Political Counsellor, British High Commission, Mr Dominic Williams, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja. “We are ready to collaborate with our partners all over the world to open up avenues for job creation. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. 2019 election: Davido raises alarm over plan to arrest youths, warns Nigerians, entertainers

Ahead of 2019 general elections, popular Nigerian Musician, David Adeleke, otherwise known as Davido, has raised the alarm over plans to arrest Nigerian youths. Davido on Sunday on his Twitter page said there were plans to arrest youths this week in order to prevent them from casting their votes. He further warned Nigerians to be careful as election draws closer. The ‘Assurance’ crooner further urged his colleagues to speak up and participate in voting and politics in the country. Davido wrote: “Aren’t we entertainers tired of people telling us to stay out of politics because it’s dangerous? Are we still gonna be listening to them for years to come ? “We are powerful and they know me I full found!
