Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

Commotion As 4 People Get Shot During Osinbajo's Door-To-Door Campaign In Ilorin

According to a Punch Metro report, no fewer than four persons were reportedly shot on Thursday in Ilorin, Kwara State, during the visit of Vice President Yemi  Osinbajo, who was on a door-to-door campaign in the ancient city. Security sources told Punch Metro that the incident occurred in Isale Aluko area of the metropolis. Two of the injured persons were identified as one Ahmadu and an elderly man called Baba Tunde. It was gathered that Baba Tunde was going to the mosque around 4pm when he was hit in the leg by a stray bullet. A resident, who gave his name only as Sodiq, said,  “The vice president visited some communities in Ilorin today (Thursday). Around 4pm, he arrived at Isale Aluko. He walked from Ita Ogunbo Junction to Isale Aluko with party supporters heading for Mustapha Compound. “Suddenly, we heard two loud sounds in quick succession. Professor Osinbajo received the election monitoring team led by the chief observer, Maria Arena, on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the state capital. Osinbajo speaks on Buhari’s alleged plot to Islamize Nigeria

The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has dismissed reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has plans to Islamize Nigeria. Osinbajo assured that neither Buhari nor anyone in the current government was plotting to impose any single religion on the country. Addressing a mammoth crowd during his unique Family Chat at Kurudu, FCT, Osinbajo said the propaganda peddled by naysayers was aimed at discrediting President Buhari who already has a record that shows he is a detribalized leader. Aviation Professionals 'Embarrassed' To See Osinbajo Being Flown Around Nigeria By A Foreign Pilot

According to a report by SaharaReporters, less than a week after the ill-fated helicopter crash involving Vice President Yemi Osinbajo occurred in Kabba, Kogi State, aviation professionals have raised concerns over the security arrangements around the nation's number two man. In a statement by its publicity secretary, Mr. Olumide Ohunay, the Aviation Round Table (ART) also expressed worries over the crowd that surged towards the helicopter immediately it crash-landed. ART said it was an embarrassment that the nation’s Vice President was being flown by a foreign pilot, whether contracted or chartered, in a Nigerian Police helicopter as noticed in a previous flight during this campaign season.
