Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, has said the ruling All progressives Congress, APC, government’s clearing of the state of its legendary traffic gridlock, especially in Apapa area, ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Saturday visit was an act of ‘hypocrisy and wickedness’. He said this on Friday during a town hall meeting in his home constituency, Apapa, in Lagos. Agbaje accused government authorities of paying deaf ears to the cries of residents and businesses suffering heavy traffic gridlock in the area since 1999. According to Agbaje, the disappearance of the usual traffic standstill ahead of Buhari’s visit meant that authorities were wicked and had only left residents and businesses to suffer deliberately.
