Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari over his late reaction to the recent killing of 44 soldiers by Boko Haram in Metele,Borno state. DAILY POST reports that the  Senate on Thursday took notice of the killing of the soldiers and suspended plenary in honour of the slain officers. However, the president has since remained silent over the killings for some days which stirred reactions. Buhari finally on Saturday responded to the news, expressing deep shock over the killing of the military personnel. He assured that immediate measures were being taken to ensure that the loopholes, which led to the fatalities, were blocked once and for all. But reacting to Buhari’s statement, Fayose in a post on his Twitter page queried the late response of the president after days of killings.
