Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. ASUU strike: FG pleads with lecturers, promises to pay new minimum wage

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has pleaded with striking university teachers to show mercy on students by calling off their strike. The teachers, under the auspices of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), began a nationwide strike since November, last year, over some disagreement between the union and the Federal Government. Ngige, speaking with reporters in Awka, Anambra State on Sunday, also declared that Federal Government would pay a minimum wage, adding that things were being worked out by the Committee saddled with that responsibility. Folarin Falana, the Nigerian entertainer famously known as Falz, says he found success when he started to “showcase rascality” on the internet. The singer said although he had started making music since 2009, he did not find his big break until 2015. Falz, who recently released his ‘Moral Instruction’ album, said it was “quite tough” to break into the music industry. “I don’t even think it was one song. I think it was a period of time with quite a few things going on around that time,”  he said during a sit-down with Teni on Flytime Promotion’s ‘The Journey’. “It was quite tough, it’s never easy.
