Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. PHOTO: NAN The Minister of State for  Labour  and Employment, Dr Festus Keyamo, stated this when the Political Counsellor, British High Commission, Mr Dominic Williams, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja. “We are ready to collaborate with our partners all over the world to open up avenues for job creation. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. Sowore fulfills bail condition; to be released soon

Embattled publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has fulfilled his bail conditions and will soon be released from the custody of the Department of State Security, DSS. Sowore met his bail condition earlier today – it should be recalled that Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the release of Sowore after denying the application by the DSS to extend his stay in detention. The judge, as part of bail conditions, asked Sowore to drop his passport with the court within 48 hours. Sowore’s counsel, Femi Falana, who is currently at the DSS headquarters, confirmed that the bail condition has been fulfilled and Sowore will be released soon. “I am currently at their headquarters. Having complied with the condition given by the court, I am here for Sowore’s release,” Falana told Punch correspondent in a telephone interview.

Following the postponement of the Presidential elections which was supposed to hold on 16th of February, 2019, AAC presidential candidate – Omoyele Sowore was on ‘As E Dey Hot’ show by Wazobia Max TV. On the interview, Sowore talked about how he knew about the postponement of the election hours before the news was officially announced and how the destruction of some INEC offices by fire was all a plot by the Cabals to twist the results. Sowore's Convoy Blocked By Area Boys Who Demanded For Money Or Deflate His Tyres

Yesterday some area boys blocked Sowore's convoy, demanded for money from him or they would deflate his tyres. The African Action Congress (AAC) Presidential candidate, Sowore was heard saying "No Shishi for bribe! On sharing the moment on social media, he wrote; LIVE: I confronted area boys who blocked the #TakeItBack convoy demanding for money while the police looked on saying “give them anything” I told them we are not thieves and I cannot give them anything because we are working hard to liberate them from their oppressors.
