Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. A 67-year-elderly person has been summoned before the Lagos State Magistrate Court at Igbosere, Lagos, for purportedly hacking into a First Bank Plc record and taking N16.2million. The presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, Oby Ezekwesili has revealed how she would use her campaign strategies to defeat President Muhammadu Buhari and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The former Minister of Education explained that she intends to leverage on her being the most qualified of all the candidates and most ready for the presidential job to defeat other contestants.
The co-converner of the BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, group said this during a press conference in Lagos, yesterday.
The activist also stated that both Buhari and Atiku were similar and not different because “Buhari’s All Progressive Congress (APC) and Atiku’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are Siamese twins of failure and destruction.”
She said: “There is no lesser evil in ‘BuTiku; BuTiku’ are members of the same party. Attempting to choose between these two is like asking one to choose between death by poison or death by gunshot. God forbid. We cannot reject one oppressor and hand over to another oppressor. We do not love bondage. We do not enjoy suffering; God in heaven forbid.
“I just laugh when I hear some people say our citizens’ movement will split opposition votes. But the PDP is not in opposition to the APC. The candidate of the PDP has over the past 14 years gone from PDP to AC, AC to PDP, PDP to APC and now back to PDP. These people are brothers and sisters of iniquity and impoverishment, merchants of failure and disappointment.
“Don’t believe that 419! They are both part of a political ruling class that has held us bound, manipulated and diminished us for decades. Now they are auditioning to extend their streak of failure for another four years? God really forbid!
“The real opponent that the Nigerian people have in 2019 is this old political order that takes and takes and takes, and never replenishes anything.”

Karthyayani Amma,  a 96-year-old woman set a record by scoring 98 marks out of 100 in the literacy exam in southern Indian state of Kerala. The Kerala State literacy mission conducts equivalency examination in different grades for people who could not get proper schooling.   After the results were declared on Wednesday, Karthyayani Amma was felicitated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. UK disagrees with US decision to ban Huawei 5G Network

THE United Kingdom’s National Cyber Security Centre, NCSC, has said Huawei’s network equipment are not a threat to its security. This is despite restrictions in the United States on Huawei’s 5G network equipment and allegations that Chinese manufacturers are spying on the West. The centre also added that any potential risk posed from using the company’s equipment can be easily mitigated. UK Financial Times reported the NCSC has ruled out a blanket ban, but hasn’t formally settled on what to do in response to the US’s persuasion to ban the use of Huawei equipment. Huawei’s founder, Ren Zhengfei, in an interview with the BBC, stated categorically that “the US cannot crush Huawei.” In a previous report by the Bloomberg, Ren had stated that despite the potential impact of the US plot on the business, he was confident Huawei’s revenue would grow to $125 billion in 2019 from more than $100 billion last year.
