Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. A 67-year-elderly person has been summoned before the Lagos State Magistrate Court at Igbosere, Lagos, for purportedly hacking into a First Bank Plc record and taking N16.2million. The lady,  Wuraola Folashade Oluloye , was summoned on a five-count charge of fraudulent diversion, was captured following a complaint from Solomon Akhanolu, Head of the Department of Forensic Auditors of First Bank. Karthyayani Amma,  a 96-year-old woman set a record by scoring 98 marks out of 100 in the literacy exam in southern Indian state of Kerala. Obaseki approves N843m for the payment of LGA pensioners

Godwin Obaseki of Edo, has approved the release of N843, 324, 509.46 for the payment of three years pension arrears for local government workers in the state. The Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Hon. Jimoh Ijegbai, disclosed this at a press conference in Benin on Monday. He said the payment of the arrears was for the period between 2015 and 2018. Confusion and palpable tension have gripped the Osun State University, as the Vice-chancellor, Professor Labode Popoola, and members of the trade union in the university accused each other of fraud and misconduct.
