Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. Young Lady Set To Dump Church After Being Cautioned By Deacon Over New Haircut (Photo)

A Twitter user identified as Adeola Mary Slessor (@Adeola0503), has taken to the social networking platform to share a photo of her haircut which was rejected by an official of her church.
According to the young lady, a top deacon at her church who sighted her low cut hair, demanded that she wears a wig or use scarf to cover her hair.
She added that instead of abiding by such rules, she would rather find another church to attend.
She posted her photo and wrote: "Deacon in church saw my picture with the haircut and told me to wear wig or hat when coming to church.

Me: I’ll find another church that can accommodate my haircut! I am who I am, you can’t change me. Happy Sunday o jare."

Court of Appeal reverses Nyako’s impeachment as Adamawa state governor

A Court of Appeal sitting in Yola, Adamawa state has reversed the July 15th 2014 impeachment of Murtala Nyako as governor of Adamawa State. The former Governor who was accused of misappropriation of public funds while in office, was impeached after 17 of 25 members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly voted against him at the state house of Assembly. Delivering judgement in an appeal filed by Nyako today February 11th, the Court of Appeal ruled that the process leading to his impeachment contravened the provisions of the Law. Justice Tunde Ayotoye who read the unanimous judgement, said Nyako was not given fair hearing during his impeachment and that his rights were violated by the Assembly members. The court in its ruling, ordered that all his entitlement before and after leaving office should be paid. The judges however dismissed Nyako's appeal to be reinstated as Governor of the state. The judges ruled that his tenure as governor had elapsed.
