Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. 2019: APC chieftain, Obioma slams Okezie Ikpeazu, PDP over alleged poor performance

Iheanacho Obioma, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State and former member of the Federal House of Representatives, has told the people of Abia to reject Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming 2019 governorship election in the state.
He said the people of state were gradually dying over hunger and poverty due to the alleged failure of the PDP-led administration to provide basic needs of Abians.
Obioma assured that his party, the APC would not disappoint Abians if voted into office come March, 2019.
The APC chieftain made this known, at a press conference in Umuahia, the state capital on Thursday, assuring that the APC governorship candidate in the state, Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah, would fix the myriads of problem impeding the Socio- economic development of the state.
According to him, “If we don’t make a change now, I don’t when. Abia is the poorest state in the federation. The governor has failed and has not done justice with that mandate.
“People will kill themselves if ikpeazu is reelected. Abians cannot continue with PDP misrule.
“The governor has disappointed the masses, including the people from his own Obingwa local government area”.
Meanwhile, the publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia state, Comrade Benedict Godson, has expressed confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari would defeat the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming February presidential election.
He said the President would win based on his exemplary leadership, which according to him, had touched all sections of the country.
Godson who spoke in an interview with newsmen on Thursday, said, “APC is the party of the people. We believe in development, we believe in democracy. And with the good works of President Buhari, you can see that APC had done enough.
“This is not autocratic system of government. APC believe in democracy. And that development is what we are offering Nigerian people,that development is what we want to consolidate on”.
