Presidential Polls, INEC Recuse Mrs. Amina Zakari Now!
The Atikulated Agenda 2019 Worldwide hereby demand the immediate recusal of Amina Bala Zakari from any role in the forthcoming Nigerian Presidential election.
Amina Zakari is an interested party in the election due to her relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari and some members of his cabinet and therefore must NOT be allowed to influence the election outcome in favor of her relative.
It is on record that Amina Zakari is the daughter of President Buhari's elder sister.
Records further reveal that she is an elder sibling to the Aviation Minister Sen. Hadi Sirika as well as related to the Ministers of FCT Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello and Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment Hajiya Aisha Abubakar.
Her late husband's younger brother Brig Gen. Sule Zakari Kazaure is the incumbent Director-General of the National Youth Service Scheme {NYSC}
Nigerians have not forgotten the drama that played out in INEC when Professor Attahiru Jega at the expiration of his tenure handed over to Ambassador Wali as the Acting Chairman and President Buhari motivated by nepotism quickly upturned Ambassador Wali's appointment the same day and brought in Amina Zakari as the Acting Chairman.
Amina Zakari in an interview she granted to PM News in 2015 confessed that she had packed out of her office in INEC in commencement of her three weeks leave of absence prior to retiring from INEC when she was appointed as the Acting Chairman by Buhari.
It was the furore that her nepotistic appointment generated that deterred President Buhari from further confirming Amina Zakari as the substantive Chairman of INEC
Fellow Nigerians, It is not rocket science to discern that Amina Zakari's retention in INEC is merely to execute Buhari's ignominious hatchet jobs as witnessed during the elections in Edo, Osun and Ekiti states.
Based on the aforesaid, Amina Zakari cannot play the role of an unbiased umpire in the forthcoming Nigerian Presidential Election due to visible conflict of interest.
We at Atikulated Agenda 2019 hereby join well meaning Nigerians, friends of Nigeria and champions of democracy all over the world to bear upon Buhari led Nigerian Government and INEC to recuse Mrs. Amina Bala Zakari from any role in the February Presidential election.
Her involvement will be morally and ethically reprehensible and may trigger a civil unrest in Nigeria as never witnessed before.
Amina Bala Zakari and by extension President Muhammadu Buhari cannot be umpires in their own game.
