R Kelly’s Song Streams Increase on Spotify After "Surviving R.Kelly"

-
Everything you need to live well
By now, you have heard of R Kelly and the revelation of all the nightmare he has caused via the Lifetime docu-series Surviving R Kelly.
While the docu-series has succeeded in “exposing” his relationship with Aaliyah, his serial child rape acts and the confessions of celebrities, it has also boosted his music (uh huh, we know right?!).
It turns out that people who had kept watch of the series had gone back to play his songs on Spotify (guilt trip? You thought we wouldn’t find out?)
According to The Blast, a representative of Spotify said that his songs listen increased by 16% on Thursday night alone after the first part of the series was aired.
Now, here is the thing: Spotify had announced in May 2018 that they were no longer interested in having Kelly’s songs on their playlist because of the accusations of “hateful conduct”. They soon soft-pedalled after that when a fans accused them of using Kelly as a scapegoat and not other celebrities who have been accused of same.

A Court of Appeal sitting in Yola, Adamawa state has reversed the July 15th 2014 impeachment of Murtala Nyako as governor of Adamawa State. The former Governor who was accused of misappropriation of public funds while in office, was impeached after 17 of 25 members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly voted against him at the state house of Assembly. Delivering judgement in an appeal filed by Nyako today February 11th, the Court of Appeal ruled that the process leading to his impeachment contravened the provisions of the Law. Justice Tunde Ayotoye who read the unanimous judgement, said Nyako was not given fair hearing during his impeachment and that his rights were violated by the Assembly members. The court in its ruling, ordered that all his entitlement before and after leaving office should be paid. The judges however dismissed Nyako's appeal to be reinstated as Governor of the state. The judges ruled that his tenure as governor had elapsed.
