Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. PHOTO: NAN The Minister of State for  Labour  and Employment, Dr Festus Keyamo, stated this when the Political Counsellor, British High Commission, Mr Dominic Williams, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja. “We are ready to collaborate with our partners all over the world to open up avenues for job creation. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. What will happen to pant thieves – Police

The rise in theft of panties has caught the attention of the Nigeria Police.
In recent times, some old and young Nigerians have been caught with ladies’ underwears, including bra and pants, the most common.
Reacting, the police said most confessions by suspects confirm that the items are being used for ritual purposes.
According to the security agency, such will henceforth be treated as serious cases while those apprehended will be charged for attempted murder.
Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), CSP Dolapo Badmos, said this at the weekend on her Instagram page.
She wrote: “What is the in thing about about the increase in stealing of underpants! Learnt the ones caught in the act always confess to using it for rituals whereof the owner die prematurely.
“Henceforth, anyone caught stealing pants might not be charged for stealing but attempted murder. This has to stop.”
