Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. PHOTO: NAN The Minister of State for  Labour  and Employment, Dr Festus Keyamo, stated this when the Political Counsellor, British High Commission, Mr Dominic Williams, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja. “We are ready to collaborate with our partners all over the world to open up avenues for job creation. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. 2019 Elections: Saraki’s end has come – Oshiomhole

The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday told the party’s supporters that the end of the Senate President Bukola Saraki’s dynasty in Kwara politics had come.
He said this in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, during President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign rally.
“For Bukola, it is finished. I cannot wait till Saturday for Kwara people to celebrate their new-found freedom,” Oshiomhole said.
Meanwhile, President Buhari said all recovered loot will be reinvested in infrastructure.
Buhari also promised that if re-elected, his administration would continue to bring those who abused trust before the law.
“We are going to continue to take those who abused trust before the law; collect what they have stolen and reinvest them in infrastructure,” he said.
