Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. General Elections: We’ve Removed Over 1000 Illegal PVCs From Voter System, Says INEC

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, says the commission has expunged over 1000 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) discovered from illegal aliens in the country.
Yakubu stated this during an interview with on Channels Television where he spoke on the INEC’s preparedness to properly clean up the voter register ahead of the February 16 presidential election.

“We have liaised with the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS ) and they have done a fantastic job in confiscating cards where there are PVCs from aliens who registered. Remember the law says it is only Nigerians who are entitled to register and vote in our elections.
“I think now we have well over a thousand cards. The last batch submitted was well over 600 cards of aliens who registered and we have registered those from the register.”
The INEC boss explained that the commission has established a good relationship with the Immigration to identify foreigners who may want to disguise as citizens to vote during the elections.
Speaking on the voter register, Yakubu stated that he had sent the complete copy of the national register of voters.

Kim Kardashian Sued For ₦36B Over Kimoji App

Everything you need to live well David Liebensohn, a developer is suing Kim Kardashian West over her popular Kimoji app. He says that he helped Kim build the app, only to be cut out of the profits. He’s suing the reality t.v star for $100 million (₦36,150,000,000), citing breach of contract and fraud. TMZ reports that Liebensohn was behind an app called CensorOut and the app helped bring his team to Kardashian’s attention. The developer claims that Kim agreed to cut their company in for 60 percent of Kimojis back in 2014. He said that he was left off of the trademark paperwork for convenience sake, but it was understood that the product was a joint venture. Kimoji He claims that Kim backed out of their deal in August of 2014, saying that one of Liebensohn’s partners shared her personal information. Senate Orders Committee To Investigate Deji Adeyanju’s Rearrest

Deji Adeyanju The Senate has ordered the joint committee on police and judiciary to investigate the rearrest of an activist, Deji Adeyanju, by the police. Adeyanju’s rearrest was mentioned on the floor of the Senate, on Tuesday, by Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West senatorial district, where the activist hails from. Senator Melaye cited Orders 43 and 52 stating that one of his constituents, Deji Adeyanju, was invited by the Police. He said Deji Adeyanju is a pro-democracy activist who has been arrested twice by the Nigerian police for organising protests in the defense of democracy. A coalition of Niger Delta militants have vowed to shut down the country if the Federal Government continues in its planned arraignment of the Chief of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Walter Onneghen. Recall that Jutice Onnoghen, an Indigine of Cross Rivers state, has been asked to vacate his seat over his refusal to declare all his assets and is scheduled for arraignment before the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja tomorrow January 14th.  In a statement issued by General John Dukku of the Niger Delta Watchdogs and Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators today January 13th, the coalition of militants said President Buhari never wanted the appointment of Onnoghen as the CJN and are not surprised that efforts are being made to remove him from office.
