Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. PHOTO: NAN The Minister of State for  Labour  and Employment, Dr Festus Keyamo, stated this when the Political Counsellor, British High Commission, Mr Dominic Williams, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja. “We are ready to collaborate with our partners all over the world to open up avenues for job creation. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. The Salzburg starlet Haaland set new record as Norway thrash Honduras 12 goals to nothing.
Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling  scored nine goals as he and Norway enjoyed a record-breaking day in a 12-0 demolition of Honduras in the Under-20 World Cup in Poland in their final Group C fixture.
The 18-years-old Haaland opened the scoring for his side in the seventh minute and then ended the scoring in the 90th minute by scoring his 9th goal in a single match for Norway by beating the former 6 goals record set by Adailton, who scored six goals for Brazil in 1997.
Norway became the first Country in the U-20 World Cup History to scored 12 goal in a single match by beating Brazil record of 10 goals in a single match.
The 12 goal victory against Hondarus set the largest victory in a single match in the tournament history and it took Norway goal difference from +4 to +8,and it increases the odds of their qualification as one of the "best losers" for the round of 16.
