Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. PHOTO: NAN The Minister of State for  Labour  and Employment, Dr Festus Keyamo, stated this when the Political Counsellor, British High Commission, Mr Dominic Williams, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja. “We are ready to collaborate with our partners all over the world to open up avenues for job creation. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. Popular singer, Dammy Krane recently lashed out on Mcomm Solutions and Services CEO, Chidi Okeke in a new video he posted on his Instagram page.

Dammy Krane shared a short snippet of his new song "Pay Me My Money" with fans and his followers on social media, but it seems he also had a strong message for people owing him.

In the video, Dammy Krane was spotted singing and dancing to the track in his car.

Dammy Krane, who publicly revealed that internet fraudsters are the ones promoting Nigerian songs on the world stage, captioned the video:

“Ge Kin Ge! New Dance Update  DEBTORS, CHIDI OKEKE, PAY ME MY MONEY ASAP  pls someone should send this to Chidi ( Ceo of Mcomm / UduX ) he owes us so much! “

However, some of his fans felt it was a publicity stunt and he was doing it just to promote his song.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the April 11 Abia state governorship election and the April 25 supplementary election, has been sacked. Alex Otti (left) and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu (right) The court delivered judgement on the election petition in the last day of the year 2015. According to the ruling, Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the winner of the election, ordered his immediate swearing-in. The APGA candidate scored 164,444 valid votes to defeat Ikpeazu of the PDP, who secured 114,444 votes. The Owerri-based five-member panel of the court of appeal was headed by Justice Oyebisi Omoleye. The justice said the cancellation of the elections held in three local govenment areas, Obingwa, Osisioma Ngwa and Isiala Ngwa, was unlawful. The returning officer has the right to only declare the results, but not to cancel the election. Omoleye had previously struck out the preliminary objections by Ikpeazu’s (PDP) counsel
