Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. PHOTO: NAN The Minister of State for  Labour  and Employment, Dr Festus Keyamo, stated this when the Political Counsellor, British High Commission, Mr Dominic Williams, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja. “We are ready to collaborate with our partners all over the world to open up avenues for job creation. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. #BBNaija: Jeff has been evicted from the house

Jeff has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija House, having had the least vote.
This is coming after five new housemates, Venita, Elozonam, Enkay, Joe and Cindy were introduced as new housemates into the house.
Tacha was earlier saved. Mike and Omashola are still up.
It is still unclear if one other housemate will be evicted.

The new additions to the ‘Pepper Dem’ house Venita Akpofure, Elozonam Ogbolu, Enkay, Cindy Okafor and Joe Abdallah paired with the old housemates to rock the party.
Led by Khafi, housemates also formed their own dance routine which is usual for BBnaija housemates. Season after season, signature dance steps have been associated with housemates.
Reacting on social media and on Twitter precisely, some fans of the TV show applauded the rising interest in the parties and appreciated the new housemates for adding some real spice, especially the dance routine.

As the National Coalition Center opens by 11:00amon on Monday in Abuja, results from Saturday’s presidential election across the 36 states and Abuja are expected to trickle in. Breaking News: Abia State To Get A New Governor, PDP Is Out

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the April 11 Abia state governorship election and the April 25 supplementary election, has been sacked. Alex Otti (left) and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu (right) The court delivered judgement on the election petition in the last day of the year 2015. According to the ruling, Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the winner of the election, ordered his immediate swearing-in. The APGA candidate scored 164,444 valid votes to defeat Ikpeazu of the PDP, who secured 114,444 votes. The Owerri-based five-member panel of the court of appeal was headed by Justice Oyebisi Omoleye. The justice said the cancellation of the elections held in three local govenment areas, Obingwa, Osisioma Ngwa and Isiala Ngwa, was unlawful. The returning officer has the right to only declare the results, but not to cancel the election. Omoleye had previously struck out the preliminary objections by Ikpeazu’s (PDP) counsel
