Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. PHOTO: NAN The Minister of State for  Labour  and Employment, Dr Festus Keyamo, stated this when the Political Counsellor, British High Commission, Mr Dominic Williams, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja. “We are ready to collaborate with our partners all over the world to open up avenues for job creation. We are open to all kinds of suggestions and levels of co-operation,” he said. He disclosed that the Government has opened up other sectors as part of efforts to diversify the economy from oil, which would, in turn, create room for employment. American business magnate, Bill Gates has revealed his foundation and that of his friend and Nigerian Billionaire Aliko Dangote are working together to improve malnutrition in Nigeria, which could also have an impact on all of Africa.
The Microsoft founder made this known via his Instagram page, and also disclose that both of them have a lot in common as successful business men.
Sharing this photo of them posing together, Bill Gates wrote,
‘Aliko Dangote and I have a lot in common. We both started successful businesses in the late 1970s, and for our second act in life, we both chose to start foundations. Melinda and I are lucky to have him as a partner (and friend!) in our work. Our foundations are working together to improve malnutrition in Nigeria, which could have an impact on all of Africa.’
