Job: Nigeria, Britain partner to combat unemployment

The Nigerian government has expressed its willingness to partner with the British Government in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for young persons in the country. – Following allegation of bribery, APC suspends Sylva – The former gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Bayelsa was accused of receiving bribe from Lokpobiri to secure ministerial nomination The last has not been heard of the lingering crisis within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa state as the party has announced the suspension of Chief Timipre Sylva. Apart from Sylva, four other members of the party were also suspended for anti-party conduct. they are: Joseph Fafi who is the party’s senatorial vice chairman central zone; Fortune Panebi who is the publicity secretary; Tonye Okio, organizing secretary; and Edison Sogwe. Terrific traffic situation in Ikeja Along area of Lagos

Road users are advised to avoid Ikeja Along area of Agege Expressway, Lagos as much as they can because of the terrible traffic situation in the area. NAIJ.com’s correspondent who passed through the area reports that the congestion was quite massive, coming from Cement Bus stop to after the pedestrian bridge in Ikeja. This traffic situation which is not peculiar to this part of Lagos state is likely to extend to the latter part of Saturday afternoon owing to the activity-filled mood of the day. Man commits suicide by jumping into canal in Lagos (photo)

An unidentified man committed suicide at Cele Bus Stop area of Lagos state yesterday April 1st, according to a report by PM News. Lagos State Fire Service Director, Rasak Fadipe, who made the incident known, said eyewitnesses said the man was walking along the road when he suddenly pulled off his shoes and jumped into the canal. He was pulled out of the canal but efforts to revive him failed. No one knows why he did what he did.
